Algarve Mini Basketball Cup 2026 | AMC X – Elevate the Game

Accommodation

During AMC X 2026, accommodation is provided for all registered participants (players and team staff).

Accommodation Location

• Escola Secundária Tomás Cabreira – Faro

• This location also hosts:

  • The main tournament secretariat

  • Team meals

  • Part of the competition schedule

Sleeping Arrangements

• Participants sleep in school classrooms

• Mattresses are provided by the organisation
  (200 × 95 × 10 cm)

• Participants must bring their own:

  • Sleeping bag or bed sheets (don't forget to bring your pillow!) 

Showers & Facilities

• Shower facilities are available at the accommodation venue.

• To avoid queues and ensure comfort, teams are strongly encouraged to use the showers at the sports halls where their matches are played.

Check-in & Check-out

• Arrival: July 1, 2026 (evening)

• Departure: July 5, 2026 (morning)

All teams must arrive in Faro by July 1, 2026, in time to attend the mandatory Technical Meeting at 22:30.

Meals

All meals are included in the participation fee.

Daily Meal Plan

Each participant receives five (5) meals per day, for a total of 18 meals during the tournament:

1. Breakfast

   • Escola Tomás Cabreira

2. Morning Snack

   • At the arena where the team is playing

3. Lunch

   • School canteen

   • Location depends on the match schedule

4. Afternoon Snack

   • At the arena where the team is playing

5. Dinner

   • Escola Tomás Cabreira

   • or Escola Joaquim Magalhães

Additional Meal Information

• Drinking water is available at all arenas
  (participants should bring their own water bottle)

• Fresh fruit is provided daily, free of charge, for:

  • Players

  • Registered team coaches

Transportation

Local Transportation (Included)

All local transportation during the tournament is organised by the AMC X organisation and is included in the participation fee.

• Most venues and accommodation facilities are within walking distance

• A shuttle bus circuit will operate throughout the tournament, connecting:

  • Sports halls

  • Accommodation

  • Meal locations

Arrival & Departure

• Transportation for:

  • Arrival on July 1 and Departure on July 5 is the responsibility of the participating teams.

Faro is served by:

• An international airport

• A train station

• A bus station

Luggage Transportation

• Upon request and at no additional cost, the organisation can assist with:

  • Luggage transport from arrival points to accommodation

  • Luggage transport during internal moves

Important Notes for Teams

• Accommodation is reserved exclusively for registered participants
  (players and registered coaches/staff)

• Parents, relatives, and spectators are welcome to attend all matches but are not accommodated by the organisation.

• Teams will receive detailed information regarding:

  • Classroom assignments

  • Meal schedules

  • Transportation routes
    prior to arrival.

• For smooth logistics, all participants are expected to:

  • Respect check-in and check-out times

  • Keep accommodation and common areas clean and organised
